Register by Mail

Voters who do not have a Georgia driver’s license or DDS-issued voter ID card must submit their voter registration by mail or in person (you cannot register online).

Register to vote by mail by taking the following easy steps:

  • Get a registration application by printing one, going to your County Elections Office, or getting an application at a Post Office or at your public library.

  • Complete and sign the application and mail it to your County Elections Office. Don’t forget postage! Click here to find your county registrar.

  • If you are registering to vote in GA for the first time: Include a copy of your photo ID and proof of residence, like a utility bill or a copy of your lease.

  • Check online in a couple of weeks to make sure the submission worked. To do that follow the instructions to check my registration or call the Voter Protection Hotline. 1-888-730-5816
