NTH Business: Coweta County Democratic Party Elects New Officers

The Coweta County Democratic Party announced the election of new officers after a special election held on August 3. The results were formally shared during the party's Executive Board meeting on Sept. 5 at the Coweta-Newnan Chamber of Commerce.

Chuck Enderlin, chairperson of Georgia's 3rd Congressional District Democratic Party, oversaw the elction. Loren Taylor was elected as chairperson, and Wendall Morgan was chosen as treasurer, both running unopposed.

​

The new Executive Board members are commited to the party's mission to "Turn Coweta Blue" and work toward a more inclusive and equitable community.

Newly Elected Officers:

  • Chairperson: Loren Taylor

  • 1st Vice-Chairperson: Tom Thomason

  • 2nd Vice-Chairperson: Otha Thornton Jr.

  • Treasurer: Wendell Morgan

  • Secratary: Carolyn Taylor
